About Mike

Mike DiFonzo is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable real estate agents in the area. Mike DiFonzo earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and History from the University of Delaware. Mike is a licensed Associate Broker and a member of the New Castle County Board of Realtors, Delaware Association of Realtors, and is also licensed in Pennsylvania.
Mike has been in the real estate business since 1986 and since then has consistently maintained the reputation of being service-oriented. Mike has specialized in all different types of residential real estate sales. From a small city of Wilmington townhouse to a large stone colonial north, or even new construction south of the canal, Mike is always ready to assist.
Mike’s expertise and experience have earned him live guest spots on WDEL radio’s former Saturday morning HOTSPOT program. He has also conducted training sessions for real estate agents and is fluent in the Spanish and Italian languages.
Mike has achieved many company awards, such as "Sales Person of the Month", "Service Person of the Month", "Most Valuable Player". He is also a member of the prestigious RE/MAX Hall of Fame.
Mike has earned the Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI) designation. This designation demonstrates that Mike has completed a specific course of study in Real Estate that provides a high level of professional service to his clients. Realtors with this designation also subscribe to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Realtors. Mike has also earned the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, which demonstrates professional expertise in the Real Estate field and the completion of advanced Real Estate courses. Fewer than 4% of Realtors nationwide have earned this credential.

Involved in our Community
Mike is a member of the Greater Wilmington Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, along with the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. Mike is involved with some volunteer organizations, which include the Knights of Columbus and the daVinci Society. He is also a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital since 2003 and is a board member at Sojourners’ Place.
Hobbies
Mike’s personal hobbies include cooking and following the PHILLIES.
Mike has had a lifetime passion for oldies/Motown music and the Philadelphia sound. Because of this passion, Mike decided to promote oldies radio station WVLT 92.1 FM from Vineland, NJ and help them with their radio advertising. In his “off time” from Real Estate, Mike is able to work with prospective advertisers in the Tri-State area and coordinate radio ads for them.
